Focus: The TakeCharge Design Solution is an ESD solution for one specific customer IC. Sarnoff Europe develops the solution using a pre-developed TDK for selected foundry processes, and delivers the solution as a “black-box”, ready for direct implementation in the customer IC.

Value add: The TakeCharge Design Solution provides your engineers with a VERY FAST delivery of an ESD solution for first-time-right ESD design in product IC’s. Moreover, Sarnoff Europe will review full IC layout – prior to tape-out - to avoid ESD issues due to incorrect implementation of the delivered ESD solution.

Key deliverables: The key deliverables of a TakeCharge Design Solution include:

• ESD solution in black-box delivery format (approximately 3 weeks)
• Full guidelines on implementation of the custom ESD solution
• Full IC design/layout review by Sarnoff Europe for remaining ESD issues is also included, and recommendations / solutions for such issues.
• Full re-use rights of the black-box solutions for additional IC’s which require an identical ESD solution

Business model:

• The TakeCharge Design Solution is only available for standard CMOS foundry processes, and is delivered for a fixed TDS fee.  
• The TakeCharge Design Solutions for proprietary processes require an existing custom TDK – predeveloped by Sarnoff Europe for the proprietary process.  If such TDK does not exist, the custom TDS will require a full development project.

The commercial use of the TakeCharge Design Solution deliverables requires execution of a TakeCharge IP License Agreement
